The Democratic Party in Haddam will be holding their caucus to elect new Town Committee members on Tuesday, January 17th, at 8:00 p.m. in the Old Town Hall, Field Park Drive, Haddam. All registered Democrats in Haddam are eligible to run for a seat on the Democratic Town Committee. Those interested in running are encouraged to contact Mal Gorin, Nominating Committee chair, at 345-2932 or at lmgorin@comcast.net, or to attend the caucus.

Haddam held it’s municipal elections on November 8th. Congratulations go out to Sean Donlan who won a Selectman’s seat, Marge DeBold who won a seat on the Board of Finance, Thomas Berchulski who won a seat on the Zoning Board of Appeals, Mary Hickish who won a seat as a Zoning Board of Appeals Alternate and Amy Jacques-Purdy who won a seat on the Board of Education.
Special thanks and appreciation go out to all the candidates and the work of the entire HDTC and in particular the Nominating Committee, the Fundraising Committee, the Campaign Committee, the Outreach Committee and everyone that supported them. To everyone that opened up their homes, drove us around, stood together at events, these actions send a powerfully strong message to where the HDTC is going to be in the next few elections.
A congratulations should also go out to our Republican counterparts, it was a fun and hard fought battle (the billboards were a nice touch), congratulations and good luck, we’ll see you again in two years, now lets go out there and work together to make this great town even better.

A Tag Sale will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2011 at the Donlan’s home at 875 Saybrook Road in Haddam.
A wide variety of household items, books, furniture and children’s toys will be available.

The Town Committee will sponsor a Setback Tournament on Wednesday, June 8, 2011. The event will be held at the Firehouse on Saybrook Road in Higganum.
Door will open at 6:30 PM with play to begin at 7:00 PM. The cost is $20.00 per person. Cash prizes will be awarded. Refreshments will be served. B.Y.O.B. Soft drinks will be provided.
